Patriot Gyms, LLC, doing business as Bucked Up Fitness (“Bucked Up Fitness,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates fitness clubs in Cary and Charlotte, North Carolina, and the website at buckedupfit.com.

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • When you contact us. Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us.
  • When you apply for a job. See Section 6.
  • When you become a member or buy a day pass. Membership sign-up and payment are handled by our member portal provider, Club Automation, on their own platform. We receive membership details from them; we do not process or store your full payment card details on this website.
  • When you visit a club. Emergency contacts, any health or fitness information you choose to share with a trainer, and check-in records.

Information collected automatically

  • Server and security logs — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Analytics and advertising data — see Section 3.
  • A location preference. If you choose Cary or Charlotte, we store that choice in your browser so we can show you the right club. It stays on your device.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

3. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technologies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies, including tools that track activity across other websites for advertising purposes.

Strictly necessary

  • Cloudflare (__cf_bm) — distinguishes real visitors from automated bots.

Analytics — how the site is used

  • Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_TEHH33JCZ1) — pages viewed, time on site, approximate location, and which links are clicked, so we can understand what visitors find useful.
  • Google Tag Manager — manages the tags listed here.
  • GoDaddy, our host (_tccl_visitor, _tccl_visit, _scc_session), and a timezone cookie set by our page builder (ep_visitor_tz).

Advertising — including tracking across other sites

  • Meta Pixel (_fbp) — provided by Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It records actions you take on our site, such as viewing a page, clicking to call us, requesting directions, viewing memberships or day passes, submitting a contact form, or submitting a job application. Meta uses this to measure our advertising, to build audiences, and to show you our ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta services after you leave our website. This means your activity here can be linked to your Meta account and used to target ads to you elsewhere.

Your choices. When you first visit, we show a consent notice explaining that we use these technologies. Because we operate in the United States, they are enabled by default and you may opt out at any time:

  • Opt-out preferences page — use the “Opt-out preferences” link in our footer or on the consent notice to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent for marketing stops the Meta Pixel from loading.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honor the GPC browser signal. If your browser sends it, we treat that as an opt-out request automatically.
  • Meta — adjust your Facebook/Instagram ad settings at facebook.com/adpreferences, and review Off-Facebook Activity in your Meta account.
  • Google Analytics — opting out through our preferences page stops advertising technologies; to stop Google Analytics entirely, please use Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or email us at info@buckedupfit.com and we will action your request.
  • Your browser — block or delete cookies, and enable any tracking-prevention feature.
  • Your device — use the ad-tracking limits in your phone or computer settings.

Our site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which discloses your IP address to Google in order to deliver them.

4. How We Use Your Information
  • Respond to your questions and requests
  • Provide and support memberships and club services
  • Evaluate job applications (Section 6)
  • Send service messages such as confirmations, schedule changes, and account notices
  • Send marketing about promotions, classes, and events, where you’ve agreed or are an existing member (opt out any time — Section 8)
  • Measure and target advertising, including showing our ads to people who have visited our website (Section 3)
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and insurance obligations
5. Legal Bases (visitors in the EEA/UK)

Where the UK/EU GDPR applies, we rely on: consent for marketing and advertising cookies; contract to provide membership services; legitimate interests to operate and secure the site and understand how it is used; and legal obligation for tax, employment, and accounting records.

6. Job Applications and Employment Information

When you apply for a position through our website, we collect the information in the application form: your name, email address, phone number, city and state, earliest available start date, desired pay, whether you are legally authorized to work in the United States, whether you are 18 or older, your work experience and education history, any message you include, and a résumé — either uploaded or as a link.

How we use it. Only to evaluate your candidacy, to contact you about that role and other openings that may suit you, and to meet our record-keeping obligations as an employer. We do not sell applicant information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see it. Only the managers and administrators responsible for hiring at the location you applied to. Uploaded résumés are stored in a protected area of our website that is not publicly accessible and can only be opened by an authorized, signed-in manager.

How long we keep it. Up to 24 months from the date you apply, then deleted — unless a longer period is required by law, or you are hired, in which case it becomes part of your employment record.

Your choices. Ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@buckedupfit.com. Deleting an active application ends our consideration of you for that role.

7. Who We Share Information With

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it as follows:

Advertising and analytics partners — these receive information about your activity on our site and may use it for their own purposes as described in their policies:

  • Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) — via the Meta Pixel
  • Google — Analytics, Tag Manager, and Fonts

Some U.S. state privacy laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include the use of advertising cookies like the Meta Pixel, even when no money changes hands. If you would like us to stop this for you, use our Opt-out preferences page or email info@buckedupfit.com.

Service providers working on our behalf

  • Club Automation — member portal, membership sales, and payments. Clicking “Sign In” or “Day Pass” takes you to their platform, governed by their policy.
  • Brevo and Mailgun — email delivery
  • Cloudflare — content delivery and security
  • GoDaddy — website and email hosting

Others — if required by law, court order, or legal process; to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members, staff, or the public; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you.

8. Marketing Messages and How to Opt Out

Opt out of marketing email any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing info@buckedupfit.com. We will still send service messages related to your membership, such as billing notices or schedule changes.

We do not currently send marketing text messages. If we introduce SMS marketing, we will obtain your express written consent first and provide clear opt-out instructions.

9. How Long We Keep Information
  • Job applications: up to 24 months (Section 6)
  • General enquiries and contact form submissions: up to 3 years
  • Membership records: for the life of your membership, then as required for legal, tax, accounting, and insurance purposes
  • Website security logs: a short rolling period, typically no more than 12 months
  • Analytics and advertising data: per Google’s and Meta’s own retention settings, typically up to 14 months for analytics
10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Delete — ask us to delete it, subject to legal obligations
  • Opt out of targeted advertising — ask us to stop sharing your information with advertising partners such as Meta
  • Opt out of marketing — at any time
  • Object or restrict — ask us to stop or limit certain uses

Email info@buckedupfit.com to exercise any of these. We may need to verify your identity first. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact info@buckedupfit.com and we will delete it. Memberships for minors are arranged in person by a parent or legal guardian.

12. Security

We use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure — including restricting access to member and applicant information to staff who need it, and storing uploaded résumés where they cannot be accessed publicly. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Links to Other Websites

Our website links to services we don’t control, including our member portal (Club Automation), our social media pages, and app store listings. This policy does not apply to them.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated more prominently.
